Please be advised that there will be a scheduled shutdown of the Municipal Solid Waste Treatment Plant (CTRSU); consequently, it will not be possible to accept waste from private individuals at this facility between 21 September 2026 (inclusive) and 15 November 2026 (inclusive). Consequently, during the aforementioned period, you should direct your waste to a final destination outside the Valorsul System. The CTRSU will resume operations on 16 November 2026. Should there be any change to this date, we will inform you as soon as possible.

At Cidade do Rock, recycling also takes centre stage Valorsul returns to Rock in Rio in 2026 with an initiative that brings together music, urban art and recycling, as part of the “Together we make the impossible happen” campaign. This reinforces the commitment to sustainability at major events, in keeping with the spirit of the festival, showing that, when everyone gets involved, recycling can also be part of the show. In an atmosphere that celebrates sharing, creativity and the involvement of thousands of people, Valorsul invites festival-goers to join this collective effort, demonstrating that small individual choices can translate into positive impacts on the scale of the entire event.

The campaign kicked off on Saturday at Lourinhã Market, attended by António Gomes, a councillor on Lourinhã Municipal Council, and Armando Militão, Valorsul’s managing director. Valorsul has just launched the environmental awareness campaign “Mercado a Reciclar” in the municipality of Lourinhã, in partnership with the Town Council, with the aim of encouraging market traders and visitors to sort recyclable waste correctly within the market environment, thereby promoting its delivery for recycling.
