Waste prevention occupies the top place in the waste management hierarchy defined by the European Union and can take two different forms:
- quantitative prevention (quantity reduction);
- qualitative prevention (reduction of danger).
Valorsul assumes its local responsibility as a key actor in a process that interacts with the whole society. In this context, it has several initiatives, internal and external to the organization, that promote good practices on the part of all citizens.
